Doors have a fascinating and complicated story to tell. I found this door on the side of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. It was so simple in comparison to the ostentatious doors in the front. This door represents the gothic architecture on the cathedral that dates back to 1163. Makes you wonder if this is the door to the bell tower.
Where do you think this door leads?
This is an exploration in working with transfers, acrylic medium for texture, and the velvet motion I got from using oil pastels.
