Onto the next adventure! Who doesn’t like an adventure? There is so much to be achieved by going on an adventure, like new-found confidence, new friendships, new skills, new experiences. This can change your perspective significantly and setup you up for more adventures that might be on your bucket list. This is why I deliver summer retreats. It gives me and my attendees new insights into their lives whereby they grow and expand their outlook on life.
In the next month, the first retreat will launch! So, I’m heading up to the lake to get things ready this month. For those that sign up, you have the option of meeting us in Scotch Creek for the last leg of the journey, or you can caravan with us from my place in Surrey. All inclusive prices vary based upon the room choice between $350 – $750. I am accepting reservations with a deposit of $50. Email me at aventurasbc@gmail.com if you would like to reserve your spot aventurasbc.ca for any of the retreats below.
June 20-23, 2025 Artist Retreat with Wendy Mould (Only 3 Spots left!)
Wendy Mould will be returning to guide us in outdoor painting and sketching. I have her back every year, because everyone loves what they learn from Wendy. Her expertise in watercolours, pens, inks and sketching is remarkable, and her teaching style is incredibly informative. Come learn how to capture the beauty of the environment with lake front painting, waterfall inspirations, and the natural beauty of Seymour Arm on Shuswap Lake.
July 11-14, 2025 – Women’s Wellness Retreat with Coral-Lei Jane
This retreat will have you feel more energized and alive through a weekend of yindalini yoga, conscious breath work and meditation, neurographic mandala making and interpretation, and connecting with nature. Also available will be personal massages in our glamping tent, and ayurvedic analysis of your body type for wellness and balance. Coral-Lei Jane, Kinesiologist and Yoga Facilitator, will teach you how to listen to your body and develop new approaches for calming your muscles and mind, and will teach you powerful techniques for self-healing in our overstressed world.
Facilitator: Coral-Lei Jane is a healer, yoga Facilitator who holds classes and workshops for women who want to experience more freedom of movement and peace within themselves. After graduating from the University of British Columbia in 2000 with a specialization in kinesiology and exercise science, her passion has been the deep understanding of the human body—its muscles, joints, nerves, and their interconnectedness. She also is a skilled yoga facilitator specializing in yindalini yoga, and runs Shivacor Academy in Whiterock, BC.
I will be sharing tips and tricks to great healthy down to earth harvest cooking by going back to the basics. I will teach you how to make cheese, yogurt, salad dressings, condiments, sourdough bread and more. You will learn how easy it is to cook from scratch with basic whole ingredients and save money. Each meal will include interactive lessons where you bring home the recipes and the goods. When we are not cooking/eating, I will teach you fun textile art projects like tapestry wall hangings with natural materials, collaging animals through material re-use, and rope bowl making.
I plan to share textile art lessons in fabulously fun textile art projects like this woven tapestry for your wall using repurposed fabrics, birchbark, and driftwood from our beach.
Each retreat includes nature walks at Albas Falls (5 amazing waterfalls), deck and beach time, creative conversations, healthy gourmet meals, and comfortable sleeping arrangements (single or double occupancy). Audience sizes are small (max 12). Let me know if you would like me to reserve a spot for you. www.aventurasbc.ca
